The employees of InfoMart love food, myself included. The holiday cookie exchange is an event catered by the employees themselves, making home-baked goodies shine. They bake and bring cookies from home. We stage a table with all of our favorite treats. During our holiday raffle, people go through the line and make themselves a plate of sweet treats. When it’s over, employees go back through the cookie line and make a bag to take home for their families over the holidays.

Tips for organizing a cookie exchange:

• Send out notice well in advance. Give people time to mark their calendars and prep their recipes.

• Encourage participation. We give employees who bring homemade goods two extra raffle tickets for our coveted electronics raffle (more on that next week – check back!). People that bring store-bought cookies receive only one raffle ticket.
